Against the Spread Pick
Indiana has had a very solid season. Victor Oladipo is back and even though they have been waiting for their All-Star they have not looked great with him on the floor. TJ Warren has been their top scorer this season but he is out with a concussion, maybe that opens things up for him. I am confident that they eventually get it figured out but taking on a team like Toronto, that is also red hot is not ideal for working out the kinks. The Raptors are second in the Eastern Conference and have the longest winning streak in the NBA right now at 11. A bunch of those games have been against the dregs of the league so they could be inspired to have a challenge and this is the first of back to back games against the Pacers. When they started the streak they were kind of healthy but that didn’t last long. Marc Gasol is out and he is critical against Indiana inside. Ditto for Norm Powell on the perimeter. Still hard to bet against the champs though, take Toronto.
Over Under Pick
Gasol and Powell are two versatile defenders that have contributed to the Raptors being one of the best defensive teams in the league. Their absence does not throw that commitment out the window and Indiana is more than capable of playing along. Look for a gritty game. Take the under.
