Against The Spread Pick

The Bengals upset the 6th seeded Northern Arizona team to set up a quarterfinals match-up with the 3rd seeded Montana Grizzlies. Even with the win on Wednesday, the Bengals have still only won two of their last ten games. It is March, so crazier things have happened in conference tournaments. Montana ended their regular season on a two-game losing streak, so they really need a bounce back performance here. When these two teams met this season, Montana won both meetings, but only covered one of the two. Having gained confidence in the first round game, I would actually lean to the Bengals here because laying 10 points with a Big Sky team is not something I plan on doing.

Over Under Pick

The under cashed pretty easily in the first round game for the Bengals, but their defense is still not one to be trusted. Idaho State are giving up an average of 80 points per game over their last five, while the Grizzlies are allowing 67. Still the over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams, 10-3 in Montana’s last 13 games overall and 8-2 in the last 10 games for Idaho State overall. This is not really a total that I want to bet, but I will roll with the trends here and back the over.
