Holy Cross

Army -11 Point Spread

Over 147 Game Totals

Against The Spread Pick

Holy Cross is in the midst of one of the worst seasons in program history. They have a terrible combination of bad defense with a mediocre offense. Their defense ranks 340th in country, allowing almost 80 points per game and letting opponents shoot 48.6 percent per game from the field. The offense doesn’t help, scoring only 66 points per game. Army is fighting for a spot in the conference tournament coming off a big win over rival Navy to bring their win streak to four. Earlier this season Army was able to handle Holy Cross cruising to a 79-67 win. I expect more of the same here from an Army team who shoots the ball well from the floor, 46 percent. Take Army.

Over Under Pick

Army loves to play fast. They average a second best in conference 69.7 possessions per game. Army finds lots of success when they are able to knock down threes. They are a perfect 8-0 when they make nine or more threes. This is something I am looking for them to try to do against a poor defense of Holy Cross. Army’s means of success is scoring the ball so they are going to push the pace when possible and try to run up their total. Look for Tommy Funk to lead the charge. Holy Cross’ last conference win came to a tune of 96-95 against Lehigh and their strategy is to beat Army on offense. I like the over here.
