Against the Spread Pick
Why are the 8-7 Penn Quakers getting less than two points against the 13-4 Harvard Crimson? Well, Harvard leading scorer Bryce Aiken (16.7 points per game) is out with a foot injury after there had been speculation that he would make his return on Friday. But the Crimson know how to navigate their way without Aiken, as he has been sidelined since mid-December and they just keep on winning. Their streak is up to eight in a row following last Saturday’s 70-66 home victory over Temple. Penn had lost three in a row before defeating Temple this past weekend. The Crimson are 36-17-1 ATS in their last 54 against opponents with winning records. Penn is 3-9 ATS in its last 12 as a home underdog. It is also worth noting that the favorite is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings between the two teams. Roll with HARVARD.
Over Under Pick
Aiken’s absence leaves the Crimson with with only two players averaging more than 8.6 ppg. In five of Penn’s past six contests, the losing team has scored 64 points or fewer. The under is 5-1 in the Quakers’ last six overall, 7-2 in their last nine at home, and 8-2 in their last 10 against opponents with winning percentages over .600. Take the UNDER.
