Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech +5 Point Spread

Over 142 Game Totals

Against The Spread Pick

While Georgia Tech has not had that successful of a season in terms of their record, they quietly have been very profitable for bettors. They have won two games in a row now to get back to .500 on the season. One of their most impressive wins came against Louisville last weekend and then they beat Wake Forest in their mid-week game. The Yellow Jackets are now 16-9 ATS on the season and 9-4 ATS away from home. Meanwhile Syracuse is doing everything they can to try and sneak into the tournament. A record of 14-12 is not going to help, but maybe if they get a few more wins, they will join the conversation. In the first meeting this season, the Orange destroyed this Georgia Tech team 97-63. This game is in Syracuse now, where the Orange are just 5-11 ATS, so oddsmakers are clearly overcompensating for their home-court advantage. The Yellow Jackets are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games. The underdog is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings, and Tech is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings. I look for Georgia Tech to play the Orange much better this time and lean their way to cover.

Over Under Pick

This is not a total I love because these teams have proven to be wildly inconsistent. Looking at their most recent games shows that each side is scoring between 72 and 76 points on average. On the flip side Tech is playing much better defense recently, allowing 69.4 points compared to Syracuse, who is allowing 83.8 points over the same five-game stretch. The over easily cashed in the first meeting and I believe we will see quite a lot of scoring this time around as well. The over is 20-8-1 in Syracuse’s last 29 games overall, so a lean to the over is what I like the most.
