Against the Spread Pick
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have quietly strung together three wins in their last four games (two out of their last three in the ACC). They have been especially impressive on the road, in fact. The Jackets are 2-2 in their four most recent ACC road outings, easing past North Carolina and Boston College while falling by just four points to current conference leader Louisville and then at Notre Dame. The Pittsburgh Panthers, on the other hand, have dropped three of their past four. Pittsburgh is shooting a mere 30.3 percent from three-point range. Georgia Tech is 9-2 ATS in its last 11 on the road, 15-7 ATS in its last 22 against opponents with winning records, and 8-2 ATS in its last 10 on the road against opponents with winning home records. The Panthers are 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 following an ATS loss. Go with the YELLOW Jackets but be sure to take the 2.5 points.
Over Under Pick
These were two of the most inept offenses in the ACC last season and nothing much has changed in 2019-20. Nobody on Pittsburgh is averaging more than 12.8 ppg (Trey McGowens). Georgia Tech held Virginia Tech to 57 points on Tuesday. The under is 13-6 in the Yellow Jackets’ last 19 overall, 6-2 in their last eight on the road, and 19-7 in their last 26 against opponents with winning percentages over .600. It is also 36-15-1 in the Panthers’ last 52 at home and 40-15-1 in their last 56 following a loss. Take the UNDER.
