Against the Spread Pick
The Georgia Bulldogs should be better than they are with Anthony Edwards, but they are not as bad as their 2-6 SEC record suggests. Georgia has been competitive in its two most recent road outings against Kentucky and Missouri, and it ended a four-game skid with a 63-48 rout of Texas A&M this past weekend. The Florida Gators have underwhelmed and had lost three straight until beating Vanderbilt–the worst team in the conference–by just six points last weekend. Nobody on Florida is averaging more than 14.0 points per game (Kerry Blackshear Jr.). The Gators are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 at home, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 at home against opponents with losing road records, and 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 on Wednesdays. It is also worth noting that the road team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven head-to-head matchups. Getting almost double-digits should be enough for GEORGIA.
Over Under Pick
Florida is coming off a 61-55 victory over the Commodores. Only two Georgia players are averaging more than 7.7 ppg and only Edwards is averaging more than 12.5 ppg. When Edwards is off–and he has been of late–this squad struggles mightily on the offensive end. The under is 4-1 in the Bulldogs’ last five against opponents with winning records and 5-2 ATS in their last seven following an ATS win. Go with the UNDER.
