Georgetown +2 Point Spread

Over 147.5 Game Totals

Against The Spread Pick

The Hoyas took a hit to their resume when they lost to Providence as a home favorite this past week. Now 5-8 in the Big East, the Hoyas really cannot afford anymore bad losses. They are now projected as one of the “First Four Out” by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi. That being said, if the Hoyas cannot beat a DePaul team that is 1-12 in the conference, their door might as well be shut. Speaking of DePaul, they have now lost 8 games in a row and 9 of their last 10. Early on in conference play, the Blue Demons were hanging around with teams, but recently they have been getting blown out left and right. Even knowing that Georgetown may be with Mac McClung and Omer Yurtseven, there is no way I can trust DePaul to play a full 40 minute game. It would be a lean to Georgetown, but wait until the injury report of the Hoyas to come out before making any kind of wager.

Over Under Pick

I do not really like this total because of how inconsistent these teams have been. Georgetown just scored 63 points at home against Providence, but the game before that they scored 73 at Butler. DePaul is averaging 72 points this year, but over their last five games, they are scoring 67.6. The Blue Demons defense however, is allowing 80.6 points over their last five games and they have allowed 90+ points in back to back games. DePaul’s defense cannot be trusted at all here, which is why I lean over in this match-up.
