Against the Spread Pick
The Bulls injury list is long but they are off a win for this one and are one game over .500 ATS on the road this season. With Wendell Carter out they are playing extra small and that might hurt them more against an opponent like the Wizards than others. They are playing three guards and Lauri Markkannen is hardly a beast in the middle (or at the four). Carter being out gives a few more shots to Zach LaVine who is putting up good numbers. They will need him to be hot to compete on the road. Philly snapped a two-game losing streak by beating Brooklyn in their last game. Joel Embiid did not play but they were not exploited on the boards. Tobias Harris had a big game with 34 and 10. Similar to the Bulls without Carter, not having their big man creates opportunities. Handicapping to I think as injuries are often overrated. Take the 76ers at home.
Over Under Pick
Three over and three unders for the 76ers in January. That pretty much sums up the season in terms of totals for Philly. They have played two more overs at home for the season but this is not an overwhelming position of confidence without their top scorer. I like the over here with Chicago playing pretty light defense.
