Within an embarrassing mix-up, the national anthem was performed for Albania before they faced France at a Euro 2020 Qualifier on Saturday.
Players seemed bemused as they realised it was the incorrect anthem – the anthem, based on the official website of UEFA of Andorra – with camera images showing mad fans creating offensive expressions in demonstration.
France coach Didier Deschamps and Albania coach Edoardo Reja talked as Jess Gil Manzano waited a few minutes to be played at the Stade de France.
Then, when the proper anthem was going to be performed was another embarrassing episode as the stadium announcer apologised to”Armenia’s lovers” and called on supporters to respect the”Armenia federal anthem” before denying his murderous error and saying Albania.
The next competition of france is Andorra at home on Tuesday, live on Sky Sports.
Deschamps offered a public apology since Albania wouldn’t begin the game with no error being 27, within the anthem mix-up which resulted in a delay.
“I apologised to the bench along with the coach,” Deschamps told a press conference.
“It is something which should not happen, but it happened. I know the position of the Albanians and it’s logical that people waited before the Albanians would have their anthem earlier that game.”
France eased once the Euro 2020 Qualifier started.
