Against the Spread Pick
Duquesne has a good season this year. Nobody is really talking bubble but 21 wins is not the norm for this program. They have great balance with four players scoring between 10 and 15ppg. Michael Hughes is not a true center at 6’8″ but with his bulk they do have an inside presence. The Duques are a team that nobody is talking about but they could build some momentum with this one and then be a tough out. Fordham got the win their opener by beating George Washington. It was a surprising result, especially in that they won by 20 points. The Rams have not been a secret this season. They have just been bad…they still don’t have 10 wins. Big man Joel Soriano had a double-double in the win and has five in his last six games. Maybe whoever is most dominant inside can get this one for their team. I am leaning Duquesne though.
Over Under Pick
The trends say look under here, neither team has more overs on the season. Fordham kind of exploded in their tourney opener but they only scored 72 and the defense is not good enough to only give up in the 50s very often. When their point total comes down and the Dukes play this thing out we will get an under. It might be tight though.
