Against the Spread Pick

The Florida State Seminoles are 22-4 overall and 15-2 in their last 17 games heading into Saturday’s showdown against the N.C. State Wolfpack. Since Dec. 3, the Seminoles’ only two losses have come on the road by five points against both Duke and Virginia. They care coming off consecutive double-digit home wins at the expense of Pittsburgh and Syracuse. Patrick Williams (9.2 points per game) has heated up of late to the tune of at least 14 points in four of the past five outings. The Wolfpack have dropped four of their last seven contests, including the conclusion of a disappointing season sweep at the hands of Georgia Tech. They at least managed to crush Duke earlier this week, but that seems more like an aberration than the rule. N.C. State is 2-5 ATS in its last seven at home against opponents with winning road records, 2-6 ATS in its last eight following a win, and 0-5 ATS in its last five on Saturdays.

Over Under Pick

N.C. State torched the Blue Devils’ defense for 88 points on Wednesday. Markell Johnson erupted for 28 points, raising his 2019-20 average to 13.2 ppg. He is one of four Wolfpack players contributing at least 12.6 ppg. As a team, they are shooting 44.8 percent from the floor and 70.7 percent from the free-throw line. Florida State shoots the ball even better and has reached the 80-point mark twice in a row heading into Saturday. The over is 7-2 in the Seminoles’ last nine overall and 5-1 in their last six on the road. Expect this one to go OVER the total.
