Puck Line Pick
The Oilers east-coast road trip continues with a stopover at PNC Arena to face the up and down Carolina Hurricanes. Edmonton was able to survive the tall task of a back-to-back in Florida, as they went 1-1 against the Lightning and Panthers. The Hurricanes have picked-up wins in six of their last 10 games. The Oilers have dropped five of their last six head-to-head against Carolina. The Hurricanes have been a tough nut to crack at PNC, where they have won four of the last five games. The Oilers have lost three straight against the Hurricanes, and this is no reason Carolina can’t make it four straight wins. Take the Hurricanes on the puck line.
Over Under Pick
Goals haven’t been an issue for either Edmonton or Carolina, but the Oilers remain without one of their most important producers. The Hurricanes were able to get an impressive win the last time these teams met in a 6-3 final. Edmonton has had four of their last six games result in five-goal totals or fewer. Not having McDavid in the line-up has had a roll in that. Both are explosive teams, but leaning an under six-goal total is the right call.
