Against the Spread Pick
Home-court advantage will likely be a huge factor in this in-state rivalry between the Central Michigan Chippewas and Eastern Michigan Eagles. Central Michigan has suffered only one setback in its own building this season and that was to Buffalo, which is not exactly a bad loss. The Chippewas have won three of their last four overall and Dallas Morgan (14.0 ppg) has exceeded the 20-point mark twice in the past four outings–including 29 at Bowling Green’s expense last Tuesday. Eastern Michigan has lost seven in a row on the road. Its last win away from home came on Dec. 7 at Detroit, which is 6-19 and in eighth place in the Horizon League. The Chippewas are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four overall, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 at home, and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six against opponents with winning records. Back CENTRAL MICHIGAN with plenty of confidence.
Over Under Pick
Eastern Michigan has scored in the 50s in four of its past seven outings. It is coming off a 59-58 loss to Akron. EMU is turning the ball over a ridiculous 15.1 times per game and shooting a hopeless 28.4 percent from three-point range. The under is 6-1 in the Eagles’ last seven overall and 4-1 in their last five following a loss. It is also 6-2 in the Chippewas’ last eight overall and 7-3 in their last 10 against opponents with winning records. Expect this one to stay UNDER the total.
