Puck Line Pick
Detroit has miraculously found a way to pick up a couple wins in their last three games. That includes a victory against this exact Buffalo team, that they make a visit to. They had a going showing that night, but playing on the road has been a different story for the Red Wings. The Sabres are 4-6 in their last 10 games and has lost three of its last four games. Buffalo has controlled the puck strongly when playing Detroit in the past, but even with 10 wins over the Red Wings in the last 14 meetings, the Sabres have been near awful. On a positive note, Anthony Mantha is expected to return to the line-up for this meeting. Detroit’s 5-21-2 road record makes the Red Wings a must avoid on the road. In a tough call, taking the Sabres puck line is the right one.
Over Under Pick
Detroit has found a way to put up some strong numbers as of late, but that hasn’t stopped them from having very ugly performances as well. In their two victories in the last three games, the Red Wings have scored a combined seven goals. They have suffered three-shutout losses in their last five games as well. On the flip side, Buffalo has combined for at least a five-goal total in four straight games. In their last two meetings which have been quite recently, the Red Wings and Sabres have combined for six goals or more. With this game having a total of 5.5 taking the over is the right play.
