Puck Line Pick
The Red Wings continue their East Coast road-trip with a stop in Boston at TD Garden, where the Bruins will be looking for a little revenge. Detroit limps in off of two-losses at Buffalo and New Jersey. The Bruins pick up a strong win against Montreal, getting back on track after their ugly loss in Detroit last weekend. The Bruins are 8-2 in their last 10 games. The Red Wings have been a must avoid team when playing on the road, with a 1-12 record in their last 13 games away from Little Caesars Arena. They have won each of the last five head-to-head meetings with Boston. However, with the Bruins being 6-0 in their last six home games, leaning Boston on the puck line is the right play.
Over Under Pick
Boston has been one of the top-scoring teams in the NHL, but that hasn’t stopped them from underwhelming in recent meetings against Detroit. In the last three head-to-heads, the Red Wings have average at least four goals per game, while the Bruins are averaging just two per game. That is far from the level Boston has shown to play all-season. Two of the three meetings have resulted in six-goal totals or more. That makes taking an over 5.5-goal total the right move.
