Against the Spread Pick
Home-court advantage could be the difference when two of the best teams in the Pac-12 collide on Saturday. The USC Trojans have not lost at home since Nov. 22 to Temple, marking their lone such loss of the season (compared to three losses either away or at neutral sites). As for the Colorado Buffaloes, they are 2-2 in their past four contests with the two wins coming at home and the two losses coming on the road. In other words, this is not going to be an easy trip for the Buffaloes. USC’s Onyeka Okongwu (17.0 ppg) has shot at least 44.4 percent from the floor in 11 of the past 12 outings. Colorado is 12-38-1 ATS in its last 51 on the road and 13-39-1 ATS in its last 53 on the road against opponents with winning home records. The Trojans are 5-1 ATS in their last six overall and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 against opponents with winning records. USC should be the choice.
Over Under Pick
Both of these teams can be careless with the basketball, as Colorado is averaging 14.0 turnovers per contest and USC is committing 14.9 per game. Nobody on the Buffaloes is scoring more than 13.4 ppg. The under is 25-9 in the Buffaloes’ last 34 on the road and 5-0 in their last five against opponents with winning records. It is also 7-3 in the Trojans’ last 10 overall, 20-7 in their last 27 at home, and 6-0 in their last six against opponents with winning records. A slight edge goes to the UNDER.
