Against the Spread Pick
The Colorado Buffaloes sit atop the Pac-12 standings, but it is not like they are entirely dominant. In fact, they are a solid but unspectacular 8-4 in the conference (19-6 overall), tied with Oregon and just a half-game ahead of Arizona and Arizona State. USC and UCLA are just one game back. Colorado is a mere 3-4 on the road compared to 12-2 at home, so the Oregon State Beavers should be liking their chances on Saturday. Oregon State will also take confidence from the fact that it won at Colorado 76-68 on Jan. 5. The Beavers are 3-1 in their last four overall following consecutive defeats of Utah and Oregon, both at home. To say this squad is enjoying a current three-game home-stand would be a gross understatement. Kylor Kelley (11.3 ppg) is averaging 15.0 ppg over the past two outings and has recorded double-figures in nine of the past 11. It is worth noting that the underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings between the two teams. Go with OREGON STATE.
Over Under Pick
Tres Tinkle has gone cold for Oregon State. He is averaging 18.6 ppg but has scored fewer than that number in five of the past six games. Colorado is giving up just 62.8 ppg, good for a scoring-defense ranking of No. 32 in the nation. However, the Buffaloes do not have anyone scoring more than 13.6 ppg and they are turning the ball over that exact amount of times–13.6–per game. Look for this one to stay UNDER the total.
