Money Line Pick

The Flyers will return home for the second night of a back to back after losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night. With that loss, it snapped a short two-game winning streak. The good news is that Philly is one of if not the best team at home in the NHL. Posting an impressive record of 17-4-4, makes me believe they can bounce back. In their way will be the Avalanche, who enter this game on a three-game winning streak. Although this will be their first game in over a week, so they could be a little rusty earlier on. Note that the home team is 13-6 in the last 19 meetings. That said, I like the Flyers to win this game.

Over Under Pick

In this match-up, we will see two teams who love to score, Both sides are averaging at least 3 goals per game, with the Avalanche averaging 3.7 (the second best scoring average in the league). Defensively, these teams are each allowing 2.9 goals per game, but again, with Colorado not playing for more than a week, I like for the offenses to prevail. The over is 10-4 in the last 14 games for Colorado and that is what I lean to as my pick.
