Under Game Totals

Money Line Pick

The Avalanche will have a rest advantage having not played since Thursday. They have won five of their last six games overall, which has pushed them to 66 points and have put them in a more comfortable spot as it stands. Columbus might actually be hotter, winners of eight of their last ten games. This does not include their Friday night game against the Red Wings. The Blue Jackets have moved into the playoff picture with 67 points, so things are looking good right now. Not much edge in terms of home/away advantage as the Blue Jackets are 17-9-2 at home and the Avalanche are 16-9-2 on the road. So even with a game on Friday, I like the Blue Jackets in this game because they are the hotter team. No rest concerns me a little, so it is a lean, but I like the Blue Jackets to win on the money line.

Over Under Pick

The total is off as of Friday night, but I believe there is going to be a lack of scoring in this contest. The Blue Jackets allow just 2.46 goals per game and only 2.14 goals per game at home. Colorado has a solid defense as well, but are more of a scoring threat as their 3.7 goals per game would show. The under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Columbus. That being said, I lean to the under because Columbus’ defense has been that strong.
