Money Line Pick
Buffalo is really desperate, as they play host Colorado Avalanche at KeyBank Center for their first meeting of the season. The Sabres were able to get a much-needed win against Columbus in their previous game, but it just hasn’t been a good season for them. Colorado has slipped a bit in their pursuit of the currently top-seeded St. Louis Blues in the Central Divison. The Avalanche’s three-game winning streak was snapped with an ugly loss against Philadelphia. Colorado has had plenty of road struggles, losing four of its last five road games. Buffalo has had no answers for Colorado in recent head-to-head meetings. The Avalanche have won two-straight at KeyBank Center. Now is a good time to bounce-back. Take Colorado on the money line.
Over Under Pick
Colorado has had plenty of over totals this season, and for good reason, as they are top five in the NHL in goal scoring. Buffalo’s numbers have dropped consistently throughout the season. Two of the last three head-to-head meetings between the Avalanche and Sabres have resulted in seven-goals or more. The over has been a strong play in four of the last five meetings. Even with Buffalo’s known goal-scoring struggles backing an over 6.5-goal total is a must.
