Against the Spread Pick

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have lost three games in a row heading into Saturday. Are they as bad as their sub-.500 record and 2-8 mark in the ACC suggest? Maybe not, as a recent overtime setback against Virginia is somewhat of a moral victory. Still, this team is without question one of the worst in the conference. It is giving up more than 73 points per game, ranking 274th in Division I in that department. Wake Forest’s current three-game skid includes none other than loss at the Clemson Tigers on Jan. 21. The Tigers have won five of their past seven contests, their best stretch since a 5-1 start to the 2019-20 campaign. Showcasing their depth, four different guys have led the squad in scoring over the past four games–including Tevin Mack with 32 in Tuesday’s victory over Syracuse. Go with CLEMSON.

Over Under Pick

The winning team has exceeded the 70-point mark in seven of Clemson’s past eight outings and six of Wake Forest’s past seven. Although the Demon Deacons do not play much defense, they can score. Three different players are contributing more than 13 points per game–led by Brandon Childress with 15.7 ppg. Look for this one to go OVER the total.
