Against the Spread Pick
It is only a couple of weeks ago that the Bulldogs were in the Top Ten in the AP Poll, now they are just a game over. 500 in the Big East. I am not sure they are in danger of having their bubble popped, but a road win like in this spot would be huge for them. They are an experienced group that needs to rebound from a bad loss at home to Georgetown. They are going to be looking for revenge after Seton Hall beat them at Hinkle Field House. Seton Hall is still at the top of the league and seems like more of a sure thing for the Big Dance, but they have suffered back to back losses including to Providence at home. Myles Power scored 27 in the loss to the Friars but his scoring is slightly down this season. A week ago the Pirates were a dark horse #1 seed candidate not they need to right the ship or they might not even win the league. I think the losses crate a buying opportunity. Take Seton Hall.
Over Under Pick
Butler has talent, but they are also comfortable playing slow and hoping they are tougher than you…which is often the case. Three of the last four have gone over for the Pirates as their defense has been a little leaky. Butler works for good shots so I think this is going to stay under. Hopefully it does not become a free throw contest late.
