Against the Spread Pick
In case we weren’t sure of the level of the current Nets we got a pretty good idea the last week plus. They had five straight games against contenders and lost all five, going 0-5 ATS too. You would like to think they might have covered at least once, show a little fight or something. They are playing on Saturday so this is not a great spot but playing the Knicks usually makes opponents feel better about themselves. DeAndre Jordan is going to be out for however much that matters. The Knicks put a little bit of a scare into Toronto in their last game but came up short down the stretch. I actually kind of like that they cornered the market on power forwards who can shoot but the perimeter players are a kind of a disaster. Maybe they get the Nets a little winded but I am not still not comfortable backing New York. Take Brooklyn.
Over Under Pick
Not having Jordan probably helps the Nets offense but an injury to the Knicks hurts, no RJ Barrett. The rookie will only get better but he had been a fairly consistent source of offense for New York this season. Even though neither team is all that strong defensively I think the under is the way to go.
