Puck Line Pick
Boston makes a big turn around trip to Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, after taking care of business at home against Arizona. They must avoid the let down as they face the league’s worst team. The Red Wings picked up their first win in a while two games ago against Buffalo. Detroit has made something of their recent head-to-head meetings with Boston. It has been ugly in recent clashes with the Red Wings, as Detroit has won each of the last four head-to-head match-ups. Detroit has made a point of shutting the Bruins down at LCA, as the Bruins last two visits have been less than expected. That includes their first meeting this season, that saw Detroit escape with an easy 4-2 win. Something just feels different in this edition and taking the Bruins on the road cannot be passed on. Back the Boston puck line with confidence.
Over Under Pick
Goals have been extremely expected in any game that involves the Boston Bruins. The same cannot be said about the Detroit Red Wings, as they are 31st in the NHL averaging 2.05 goals per game. Yet each of the last three head-to-head meetings has resulted in at least six-goal totals. That doesn’t help Detroit’s cause though, as they have been held scoreless in three of their last four games. This match-up has the feel of yet another game in which Detroit, could ultimately come up short on the scoring end. This is a tough play, but it’s likely this game lands around 5.5 goals. So take the under six-total.
