Against The Spread Pick
The Georgia Bulldogs are getting only three points against the Auburn Tigers because they have home-court advantage and because they generally play teams close. But they have been competitive mostly against opponents who are far worse then Auburn, which sits in second place in the SEC at 9-3 (22-2 overall). Georgia is 1-8 in its past nine contests, having blown double-digit leads left and right. Its only win during this stretch has come at the expense of Texas A&M, to whom the Bulldogs lost 14 days later (via a 74-69 decision this past Saturday). The Tigers are 7-1 in their past eight outings, which includes defeats of Kentucky and LSU. Samir Doughty (16.0 ppg) has scored at least 16 points in seven consecutive games. Back AUBURN with plenty of confidence.
Over Under Pick
Doughty is one of four Auburn players averaging in double-figures (also Isaac Okoro, J’Von McCormick, and Austin Wiley). The Tigers pinned 82 points on Georgia in the previous meeting between the two teams, a 22-point blowout for the home side back on Jan. 11. In three of Auburn’s last four outings, the winning team has scored at least 85 points. Look for this one to go OVER the total.
