Against The Spread Pick
Following their takedown of Washington, Arizona will advance to play USC. The Wildcats have been one of college basketball’s most underrated teams for most of the season and pack some serious power on both sides of the ball. They are averaging 76 points on offense and shooting 35 percent from deep. On defense, they only allow 65 points per game and are holding opponents to under 40 percent from the field. The Trojans defense is also a serious contender as they defend the ball even better holding opponents under 39 percent from the field. USC is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games, however, I think this is going to be a tight defensive game and the Wildcats should cover with their superior offense.
Over Under Pick
Everything in this one seems to be pointing to an under. Both of these two teams are very good defenses that don’t allow many points typically. The last game between these two saw a score of just 57-48. I am expecting this to be a similarly defense first game. The total has gone under in 7 of USC’s last 8 games and in 4 of the last 6 games between these two. I also think fatigue will be a factor for Arizona seeing as though they just played a tight physical game against Washington. I am seeing this one going under.
