Against the Spread Pick
Arizona is a team you want to like. They have talent and Nico Mannion is a super fun player to watch. They are young though and they are coming off a bad home loss to UCLA. Any loss to UCLA might be considered bad this season, but especially at home, and by 13 points. This is a game that the people who make decisions will be watching. It gives the Wildcats a chance to show some resilience. Buying opportunity for sure. Cal is not in last place in the PAC 12 but they are probably the worst team in the conference this season. They really struggle on offense scoring just 62ppg. Matt Bradley gets 17 of those a night but nobody else is in double figures. Arizona can win this one by ramping up the pace and daring the Bears to keep up or by putting the screws to an offense that has few directions to look beyond Bradley. This team is really easy to guard. Take Arizona.
Over Under Pick
Despite their meager offense, Cal games are going over more often than not. They had played three straight over leading into their last game but then they scored just 45 points at Utah. Getting back to Berkeley might help but I am not expecting them to double that. Look for this one to go under.
