Puck Line Pick
The Coyotes venture to Canada might be paying off as they have won each of their last two games against teams from the North. They were able to pick up just their third win in their last 11 games, as Arizona escaped Montreal with their 28th win of the season. The Maple Leafs are coming off a loss against the same Canadiens team, as Toronto could only manage one goal. Neither team has had their finest moments in recent games, but the Coyotes have had one thing working for them and that is five-straight wins in their last five visits to Scotiabank Arena. These teams have met just once earlier in the season in Arizona, and Toronto was able to get a victory, which was just their third in the last 10 head-to-head meetings. It might be a stretch, but taking the Coyotes puck line on the road is the right call to make.
Over Under Pick
Toronto remains a top-five goal scoring team, but recent goal numbers haven’t quite lived up to the billing. That proved true in their last game, as the Montreal Canadiens held the Leafs to just one goal. Seven of the last nine head-to-head meetings have resulted in under totals. Toronto and Arizona have combined for four total goals or less in their last two match-ups. Baring that in mind, a play on the under six-goal total is the right move.
