Puck Line Pick
The Montreal Canadiens return home to host the Anaheim Ducks, after picking up a shootout win against the New Jersey Devils. For the Ducks, they will be looking to overcome the flu in the locker room, as they look to remain a spoiler out west. The Canadiens have won three of their last four games. While Anaheim is coming off back-to-back wins over Los Angeles and Ottawa. Tomas Tatar has remained the Canadiens go-to scorer, and for a team that leads the NHL in shots per game, they will need to get on the board quickly to avoid another costly home loss. With the Ducks able to perform strongly on the road, leaning Anaheim on the puck line is the right choice.
Over Under Pick
Goals haven’t been the Ducks’ strongest statistic this season, but that hasn’t stopped them from scoring goals when needed. Anaheim has scored at least three goals in each of their last four games. Montreal is currently top 15 in the NHL in goal scoring, and they have rarely not put up at least three goals per game in their last 10 games. In five straight head-to-head meetings, the Ducks and Canadiens have combined for at least five total goals. Therefore taking an over 5.5 total is the right call.
