Cowboys vs. Rams

Aloha Stadium in Hawaii used to be the annual host of the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl. That’s no longer the case as the game will be located at the less desirable place of Orlando for its fourth straight season January the week before the Super Bowl.
However, fans in Hawaii will get to see another kind of unworthy soccer this Saturday if the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams confront in Week 2 of the preseason in Aloha Stadium. It’s the first NFL exhibition game at Hawaii’s largest outdoor arena since 1976. Playing unique locations throughout the preseason is nothing new for Dallas under owner Jerry Jones since the Cowboys also have played exhibition games in London, Toronto, Tokyo, Mexico City and Monterrey. Guess they are not just America’s Team.
For what it’s worth, and I’d say , the Rams defeat the visiting Cowboys in the Divisional Round of last year’s play, 30-22. CJ Anderson rushed for 123 yards and 2 scores and Todd Gurley 115 yards and a touchdown. Jared Goff threw for 186 yards. Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. You won’t find any of these men on Saturday. Anderson is currently with the Detroit Lions. Rams coach Sean McVay clearly doesn’t provide a **t about the preseason as he likes to break his key guys to ensure health for the normal season. Thus, no Goff or Gurley (not traveling to Hawaii to save wear and tear on his knee) or NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald or possibly a single starter will playwith. The Rams will be 4-5 straight up and ATS under McVay in exhibition games after dropping last week 14-3 in Oakland (which you likely watched highlights off on”Hard Knocks”).
Blake Bortles started that match to the Rams and was 3-for-8 for 50 yards and is expected to start again Saturday although probably not play a lot. The Rams must give the majority of the quarterback slips again to youthful players John Wolford and Brandon Allen. These two are battling for the No. 3 job. Backup running back Malcolm Brown also didn’t play last week or is predicted to at all this preseason. If it comes to the Rams, just assume nobody you’ve heard of will perform.
Dallas coach Jason Garrett clearly does not take care of the preseason, either, as noted by his 12-22 career straight-up record. The Cowboys were winless in the 2018 preseason and subsequently dropped 17-9 in San Francisco last Saturday. Quarterback Dak Prescott did perform a series and led the group into a field goal, completing 4-for-4 for 23 yards. I would guess he only plays a series Saturday. Cooper Rush and Mike White will see most of the time as they struggle to win at against the No. 2 job. Hurry, an undrafted free agent, was with the Cowboys because 2017. White, a fifth-round choice in 2018, was on the 53-man roster last season but has been inactive for each game.
Elliott, of course, remains away in the club demanding a contract expansion. There. One of other Cowboys who wont play or make the excursion: Zack Martin, Tyrone Crawford, DeMarcus Lawrence and Byron Jones.
With the holding basically everyone back, can’t help but slender Dallas here.
